LAC LA BELLE, MI-- An Upper Peninsula ski resort was voted one of the best in the country in a USA Today reader’s survey.
Mount Bohemia in Lac La Belle finished second in the newspaper’s “10 Best Ski Resorts in America” poll. It’s the only resort east of the Rocky Mountains in the list.
USA Today says Mount Bohemia is a hidden gem for extreme mountain sports. It features some of the longest runs, highest verticals and deepest powder in the Midwest.
A panel of experts partnered with “10Best” editors to pick the initial 20 nominees. A popular vote of USA Today readers determined the top 10.
Only Winter Park Resort in Winter Park, Colorado beat Mount Bohemia.
