Escanaba water problem fixed

ESCANBA, MI-- A water restriction has been lifted in the City of Escanaba.

The Department of Public Safety says the water main break discovered Thursday has been found and contained. Residents and businesses were cleared to start using water again Thursday afternoon. While safe to drink, the water may be cloudy and have some sediment in it.

A road closure remains on 1^st Avenue North at North Lincoln Road west to North 26^th Street. It includes the 100 block of North 25^th Street. Motorists are asked to bypass that section and use an alternate route.
