Snowmobilers spend night of blizzard in mine drill building

BIG BAY, MI--   Four people are lucky to be alive, after their snowmobiles got stuck in the Big Bay area.

Marquette County Search and Rescue was called out around 4 a.m. Monday to look for the missing snowmobilers. They had left on their machines Sunday around 6 p.m. and got stuck in snow drifts near the Triple A Road.

Officials say the four were able to find their way to a mine drill building, where they spent the night. Monday around 8:30 a.m. they made it to the Eagle Mine guard shack.

No names have been released.
