HANCOCK, MI-- Three energy providers are scheduled to give presentations at the U.P. Energy Task Force meeting in Hancock Friday.
The task force was established by an executive order to explore ways to improve energy reliability and affordability in the U.P. It will first focus on methods of providing propane to residents besides Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac.
Plains Midstream Canada will give its presentation at 10:30 a.m.; Enbridge will present at 11 a.m.; and SEMCO Energy Gas Company will give its talk at noon.
The meeting is being held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Finlandia University’s Jutila Center. A listening session will be held in the afternoon to gather input from the public.
