"Suspicious" fire destroys Marquette County home

NATIONAL MINE--   Michigan State Police from the Negaunee post are investigating a suspicious house fire.

Troopers were dispatched early Friday morning to a house in National Mine. When they arrived the residence was completely engulfed.

Three women who had reportedly been in the residence were arrested on unrelated charges.

The MSP Fire Investigator is looking into the cause of the fire.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
