FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, MI-- A vehicle fire in Houghton County threatened to spread into the woods on Friday.
Just before noon Sheriff’s deputies were called to the fire on Boston Road in Franklin Township. They found two vehicles fully engulfed at a private residence and the fire was spreading into a wooded area.
The Quincy/Franklin Fire Department, Dollar Bay Fire Department, Calumet Township Fire Department and officers from the DNR Forest Division in Baraga responded to the scene.
The fire was contained to the property.
