Driver of vehicle submerged in Iron County river not found

IRON COUNTY, MI--   Iron County officials are looking for the driver of a vehicle found submerged Sunday in the Net River near Amasa.

The vehicle was located near the Snake River Rapids boat launch. It was removed from the water, but no driver was found.

Deputies, members of Iron County Search and Rescue and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources searched the area, including cabins, but weren’t able to make contact with the driver.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Drone Division assisted in the search Monday but officials failed to find anyone.

More information will be released about the incident as it becomes available.
