Contest Rules
WNMU-FM, Public Radio 90 2021 OCTOBERFEST GIVEAWAY FUND DRIVE OFFICIAL RULES
Entries
No pledge contribution is necessary. Entrants may enter without pledging by calling 906-227-9668. Email and electronic entries will NOT be accepted. All donors during Oktoberfest will automatically be included in the drawing.
To enter without a contribution, call (906) 227-9668. WNMU-FM is not responsible for lost, late, delayed or illegible entries or requests for entries. WNMU-FM assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, damages, delayed computer transactions or network connections, whether human, technical or otherwise in nature, in conjunction with this contest, participation or in connection with any prize acceptance. WNMU, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or who is otherwise in violation of the Official Rules. Entrants agree WNMU has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this contest and that its decision is final and binding.
Entry Time Period
October 5th, 2021 through 5pm October 14th, 2021
Contest Eligibility Criteria
Winner must be at least 18 years of age to enter. All pledge and non-pledge participation will result in a total of one entry per name per drawing. Winner’s name must match state-issued photo identification. Persons in the following categories are NOT eligible to participate: (a) persons who on or after the Start Date, were employees of WNMU-FM, WNMU-PBS, or any prize(s) providers and (b) persons who are immediate family (defined as mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son or spouse) of any person in the preceding category, regardless of where they live; or who reside in the same household, whether related or not.
As of October 2018, WNMU-FM reserves the right to organize and conduct contests which are: (a) limited to prospective new members; (b) limited to persons who make a donation to WNMU Public Broadcasting during a specified period of time; (c) limited to sustaining members only; (d) limited to sustaining members who increase the amount of their monthly donations; or (e) that include all of some subset of the aforementioned groups. The rights of sustaining members otherwise remain unchanged.
Prize
Refer to Prizes list and retail value below. Any and all prize-related expenses, plus any and all federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Winner Notification and Acceptance
One winner per prize will be selected by a random drawing. Winner will be notified within 20 (twenty) days from the end of the pledge period via e-mail, phone number(s) and/or mailing address as provided. Non-compliance or failure of winners to respond or accept prize(s) within 30 (thirty) days from the date they are notified by WNMU-FM will result in the forfeiture of the prize by the winners. Winner’s name will be kept on file at WNMU-FM and is available by writing WNMU-FM, 1401 Presque Isle Avenue/Harden Hall, Marquette, MI. 49855.
Odds
The odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received as to each contest. All pledges and all non-pledge entries will result in a list of unduplicated names from which one winner will be randomly selected.
Release and Indemnification
All entrants agree to be bound by the contest rules and further agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless WNMU-FM, its licensees, affiliates, successors and funders, and their respective directors, officers and employees from and against all actions, causes of actions and liability, including attorney’s fees and costs, arising out of or relating to participation in the contest and receipt and use or misuse of the prize awarded. Prize is nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. There can be no substitutions for a prize. WNMU-FM may use winner’s name for publicity purposes without further compensation.
Choice of Law
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of WNMU-FM in connection with the contest, shall be governed by (a) The Federal Communications Act and the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission; and (ii) the laws of the State of Michigan without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof.

Entry Time Period: This sweepstakes’ start date is October 5, 2021 at 12:00:00 AM (EST) and the end date of October 14, 2021 at 05:00 PM (EST).
