ONTONAGON COUNTY, MI-- One person is dead, following a single-vehicle accident in Ontonagon County.
The Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened Monday around 12:50 p.m. on M-64 near Superior Way.
Deputies say the driver, Steele Blue Veldman, 35, of Ontonagon, was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle, possibly due to excessive speed. The vehicle left the road and overturned, ejecting Veldman. He was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
