Negaunee State Police search for white Audi involved in crash

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   State Police from the Negaunee Post are on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Negaunee Township.

Troopers say the crash happened Friday around 2:10 p.m. on US-41 just west of the State Police post.  They say the female driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses say a second vehicle—a white Audi with tinted windows, a sun roof and Michigan registration—was involved in the crash.  The same vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly in the L’anse area earlier that day.

Anyone with information leading to the identification of the driver of the white Audi is asked to call the Negaunee Post at 475-9922.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
