Rapid River crash sends four to hospital

RAPID RIVER, MI--   Four people are injured, following a two-vehicle accident in Delta County.

The Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened Wednesday at the intersection of US-2 and South 75 Road in Rapid River.  Deputies say a 95-year-old Wisconsin man was making a left turn off of US-2 when he turned into the path of a vehicle driven by a 70-year-old Illinois man.

Four people were taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  One was later transported to Marquette General Hospital.

The Wisconsin man was cited for failure to yield.
