BAY DE NOC TOWNSHIP, MI-- Police have released the name of the Delta County man struck and killed by a pickup truck.
Troopers from the Gladstone Post say the accident happened Thursday around 8:15 a.m. on New Wilsey Bay Road in Bay de Noc Township.
Kenneth Rogus, 73, of Oxford, Michigan was walking on the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound pickup driven by Paul McCarty, 31, of Rapid River. Rogus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The MSP Traffic Crash Reconstructionist is investigating the scene. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
