The crash happened Friday around 11:30 p.m. on US-141 in the Marinette County town of Middle Inlet.  Sheriff’s Department deputies say a northbound pickup truck driven by Timothy Christ, 28, of Wausaukee struck a southbound car driven by Jodi Croley, 44, of Ishpeming.

Thirteen-year-old Christopher Croley was pronounced dead while en route to the hospital.  His mother and sisters, 17-year-old Taylor and 16-year-old Gabrielle, were taken to a hospital in Green Bay with serious injuries.  Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Christ was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing death and serious injury.  He was not injured in the crash.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
