Three-vehicle crash at busy Marquette intersection

MARQUETTE, MI--

Marquette Police are investigating a three-vehicle accident in the city.

Officers say the crash happened Wednesday morning around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Street and McClellan Avenue.  They say a Chevy Malibu driven by a 48-year-old Marquette woman was west bound on Washington when it collided with a Chevy pickup driven by a 34-year-old Gwinn man.  The pickup then struck a Kia driven by a Marquette woman.

The driver of the Malibu was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  No one else was injured in the crash.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call them at 228-0400.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
