Detroit man dies in U.P ORV crash

MANISTIQUE - State Police say a 57-year-old suburban Detroit man has been killed in an off-road vehicle crash in Schoolcraft County.

Troopers say the crash happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday in Mueller Township about 10 miles east of Manistique.

State police say Brian R. Reiss of Macomb County's Clinton Township was operating the off-road vehicle. He died Friday at Marquette General Hospital.

Investigators say they believe that drinking and speed are factors in the crash.
