ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP - Four people are injured following a single vehicle crash in Ishpeming Township. State Police say 48-year old Andrew Pederson, of Ishpeming, was driving north on woodland drive at about 6:55 Monday evening when he failed to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox, went into the ditch and hit a tree. Pederson and a 6-year old passenger were taken to Bell Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Two other passengers – a 12-year old and an 8-year old – were treated at the scene.
Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
