Chocolay crash injures three

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Chocolay Township Police investigated a two-vehicle accident that injured three people over the weekend.  

The crash happened Sunday around 3:45 p.m. on US-41 near the Michigan Welcome Center.  Officers say a vehicle pulled out in front of another vehicle as it left the Welcome Center, causing the accident. 

Three people were taken to Marquette General Hospital with minor injuries. 

The driver was cited for failure to yield.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
