Driver injured in roll-over accident in Skandia

Marquette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a one car roll-over accident in Skandia. Deputies say the accident happened Saturday at about 2:25pm on US-41. A 48-year old Ishpeming man was southbound when he lost control, crossed the centerline and rolled the car several times. The driver was taken to Marquette General Hospital for evaluation. Two other passengers in the vehicle were unharmed in the accident. Deputies say the driver is suspected of driver of driving under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident. Charges are being sought through the Marquette County Prosecutor’s office… and the accident remains under investigation.
