Crash into trailer injures L'Anse teen

HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP, MI--   One person was injured when a vehicle struck a trailer carrying wood in Humboldt Township over the weekend.

State police from the Negaunee Post say Taylor Dillinger, 19, of Chassell was westbound in a Dodge Stratus on US-41 just west of M-95 when she became momentarily distracted.  The car crossed the fog line and struck a flatbed trailer with a flat tire parked on the shoulder.  The vehicle towing the trailer was not attached at the time.

Dillinger was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  Her passenger—Cody Goodreau, 18, of L’Anse—was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.

Dillinger was cited for careless driving.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
