Crash in Negaunee injures one

NEGAUNEE, MI--   One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Negaunee.  

City Police say the crash happened Thursday at 5:53 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 East and Baldwin Avenue.

Investigation reveals Kelly Kurin, 36, of Negaunee drove through a red light and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Catherine Hiles, 68, of Butler, Tennessee.

Kurin was taken to Bell Hospital for treatment of neck pain.  She was cited for disregarding a stop and go light.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
