Deer causes rollover crash in Breitung Township

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, MI--   A car-deer accident in Dickinson County has injured one person.  

Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post were called around 12:30 Tuesday morning to M-95 just north of M-69 in Breitung Township.  They say Joseph Hruska, 21, of Channing was northbound when he swerved to miss a deer.  The vehicle ran off the roadway and rolled over. 

Hruska was taken to Dickinson County Hospital for unknown injuries.  Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt and alcohol use is not suspected. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
