Medical issue contributes to rollover accident in Negaunee Township

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   An 87-year-old Negaunee woman has been injured in a single-vehicle accident in Negaunee Township.

State Police say the crash happened Tuesday around 11:10 a.m. on US-41 at the Carp River Bridge.

Troopers say Patricia Sager was westbound on the highway when she lost control of her vehicle, drove into the median, hit a guard rail, and rolled over.

Sager was taken to Marquette General Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Hospital personnel say she was suffering from a medical condition when the accident occurred.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
