Traverse City mall worker apparently died of heart attack

TRAVERSE CITY, MI (AP)--   A medical examiner has determined that a 64-year-old man suffered a heart attack and died in the northern Michigan mall where he worked as a night shift housekeeper.

Grand Traverse County sheriff's Lt. Brian Giddis tells the Traverse City Record-Eagle Wednesday that Ricky A. Billings' death is being treated as "a natural death at this point."

A morning mall walker found Billings' body Tuesday at Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City.

The Grand Rapids Press reports Wednesday that Billings' body was found in a central hallway near a food court before stores opened. Much of the mall was closed Tuesday during the investigation.
