Burned vehicle containing bodies found in Schoolcraft County

DOYLE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The bodies of three family members have been found in a burned-out vehicle in Schoolcraft County.

Around 5:30 p.m. Friday troopers from the Manistique detachment were called to a rough gravel road in Doyle Township.  The vehicle was no longer on fire when troopers arrived.

Police say the victims are believed to be from the Newberry and Gould City areas.  They’re awaiting lab results to confirm their identities.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
