ORV crash could net charges for driver

HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI--   State Police from the Calumet Post are seeking charges against a man who crashed his ORV in Houghton County.

Sunday around 8 p.m. troopers were dispatched to No. 4 Road just off of US-41.  The witness who called 911 says he watched the ORV fail to negotiate a corner and hit a boulder, throwing the rider.

The rider was taken to Aspirus Keweenaw with numerous serious—but non-life-threatening—injuries.

Troopers say alcohol was a factor in the crash and they’re asking for charges from the Houghton County Prosecutor’s Office.
