One dead following truck crash in Nadeau Township

NADEAU TOWNSHIP, MI--   A South Carolina man has died in a single-vehicle accident in Menominee County.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the crash on US-41 in Nadeau Township Sunday around 1:15 a.m. They say Jordan Troy Baker, 20, of Whitmire was northbound in a pickup truck when he crossed the southbound lane and hit the gravel shoulder.  He then lost control of the vehicle, which crossed back into the northbound lane and went into the ditch.  Baker was ejected from the truck and died at the scene.

Deputies say Baker wasn’t wearing a seat belt and alcohol was likely a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
