Police reviewing probe into death of girl hit by partition

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI--   An investigation has been completed into the circumstances surrounding the 

death of a 4-year-old Forsyth Township girl who was struck and killed when a safety partition being installed in a high school gym fell on her.

Forsyth Township Police Chief Gordon Warchock tells the Grand Rapids Press Wednesday that the probe is being reviewed. The review should be completed next week.

Details of the investigation were not released Wednesday.

Amarah Filizetti was in the Gwinn High School gym Thursday when the partition hit her. She was taken to UP Health System Marquette, where she later died.

Funeral services for Amarah were held Wednesday afternoon in Marquette.
