NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI-- A school bus had to be pulled from a ditch in Negaunee Township after it slid on a hill Wednesday.
The bus was westbound on North Road near Maple Ridge Road around 7:20 a.m. when it lost traction on icy pavement. It slid back down the hill and came to a stop perpendicular to the roadway.
Neither the driver nor seven student passengers were injured.
The bus was safely pulled out of the ditch by a wrecker and the road was sanded by the Marquette County Road Commission.
Officials say traffic was rerouted from the area for an hour and a half.
