Snowmobile struck in Ontonagon County

GREENLAND TOWNSHIP, MI--   A snowmobiler has been injured after he was hit by a vehicle in Ontonagon County.  

Sheriff’s deputies say the crash happened Tuesday on Aspen Lane near Trail #3 in Greenland Township.  They say Mark Wasse of Green Bay was traveling on Trail #3 when he failed to yield the right-of-way at Aspen Lane.  The snowmobile was struck by a vehicle driven by Queen Westerinen of Ontonagon. 

Wasse was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  No other injuries were reported.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
