Deputies rescue five from Forestville Road

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office helped five people on Forestville Road after their truck got stuck. 

Wednesday around 10 p.m. deputies were called to assist the individuals, who were stuck just north of Beagle Club Road in Marquette Township.  They say Ryan Dahlstrom, 22, of Marquette, MarcellinoSattam, 17, of West Bloomfield, Steven Kaplantzes, 22, of Wixom, Michael Sattam, 20, of West Bloomfield, and Dominic Aboona, 21, of West Bloomfield were driving on the unplowed portion of the road when an abandoned vehicle blocked their way.  They tried to back their way out but became stuck.  

Deputies had to transport them out of the area on snowmobiles.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
