Car hits Gwinn building

GWINN, MI--   A Gwinn business was damaged Monday when a vehicle crashed into it. 

According to WLUC-TV a driver was trying to park in front of the Gwinn Furniture Mall around 10 a.m. when their foot slipped off the brake.  The vehicle lurched into the building, buckling the wall and breaking windows. 

No injuries are reported.  The vehicle and some furniture were slightly damaged. 

The Gwinn Furniture Mall will remain open as repairs are made.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
