Deputy crash investigated by MSP

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   Police continue to investigate a multiple-vehicle crash that included a Marquette County Sheriff’s deputy.

The accident with two other vehicles occurred at the US-41 and County Road HQ intersection Friday around 8:45 p.m. as the deputy was responding with lights and sirens to another call.  Four people—including the deputy—suffered minor injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office asked State Police from the Negaunee Post to investigate the crash.  Two troopers trained in advanced accident reconstruction were called to the scene.

Further information will be released as it becomes available.
