CHASSELL TOWNSHIP, MI-- No serious injuries were reported in a traffic accident in Houghton County Thursday. Sheriff’s deputies say it happened around 3:10 p.m. on US-41 just north of Broemer Road in
Chassell Township.
The female driver, Stewart Lynn McCabe of Lake Linden, was driving a truck and trailer northbound on the highway when she failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The truck went into the ditch and hit a tree.
Deputies say seatbelts were worn and airbags deployed during the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Houghton Police Department, Mercy Ambulance, and the Chassell Fire Department and First Responders.
