SAGOLA TOWNSHIP, MI-- M-95 in Sagola Township was closed for several hours Thursday, after logs fell onto the roadway during a four-vehicle accident.
State Police from the Iron Mountain Post say it happened just after 9 a.m. near Sunset Lane. A southbound semi hauling logs hit a patch of black ice and started sliding, which caused the load to fall from the truck. A second semi tractor-trailer also started sliding when it tried to avoid the logs, but its load shifted and it overturned. A third semi attempted to avoid logs on the road but lost some of its own load before it stopped. A passenger car then slid into the logs on the roadway.
No injuries were reported.
Troopers say alcohol use is not suspected.
