RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, MI-- A Palmer man faces possible charges, following a single-vehicle accident in Richmond Township.
The 27-year-old was southbound on M-35 Wednesday around 9:40 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the centerline on a curve, left the road, and struck several trees.
Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies believe the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt, as his head hit the windshield. He sustained several non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to UPHS Marquette.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Charges of operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended are anticipated, pending blood test results.
