Alcohol a factor in Ishpeming fall, police say

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police say alcohol was involved in an incident where a 15-year-old girl fell out of the second-story window of a house in the city.

WLUC-TV says the unidentified Ishpeming Township teen has been released from the hospital, after receiving treatment for facial and head injuries.

She fell from the window Saturday around 3 a.m.

Officials say alcohol was a factor in the incident. They’re continuing their investigation and questioning witnesses who were at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
