Skandia rollover injures Calumet man

SKANDIA, MI--   A Calumet man escaped serious injury following a rollover crash in Skandia Township Sunday.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 1:20 p.m. to US-41 near South Carlshend Road.  They say a vehicle driven by Jacob Tarvis of Calumet left the roadway and overturned.

Tarvis sustained minor injuries and was taken to UPHS-Marquette for evaluation.

Skandia Township Fire/EMS assisted at the scene.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
