CHASSELL TOWNSHIP, MI--   The driver of an ATV was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Chassell Township Saturday.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before 9 a.m. on US-41 south of Klingville Road. A 65-year-old Chassell man was northbound in an ATV along the shoulder of the highway when he tried to negotiate a U-turn. The ATV was hit by a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 32-year-old Merrill, Wisconsin woman.

The driver and her two passengers were not injured. The driver of the ATV was taken to UPHS-Portage for treatment of minor injuries.

Deputies say neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors in the crash.
