No serious injuries reported in Sands Township crash

SANDS TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Sands Township. 

It happened Saturday around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of M-553 and County Road 480. Deputies say Dana Pakulski, 30, of Houghton was southbound when she failed to stop at the intersection. She struck an SUV driven by Clyde Randell, 80, of Marquette.

Pakulski wasn’t hurt. Randell received minor injuries. He was taken to UPHS-Marquette for observation.

Pakulski was cited for failure to stop at a stop and go signed intersection.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
