Multiple injuries reported in Munising Township car-semi accident

MUNISING TOWNSHIP, MI--   Three people are seriously injured, following a car-semi crash in Alger County.

Sheriff’s deputies say it happened Wednesday around 8:30 p.m. on M-28 near Star Siding Road in Munising Township. Preliminary investigation indicates the passenger car and semi tractor-trailer were both westbound when the car pulled over near the intersection of Star Siding Road. The driver of the car then attempted a U-turn and drove into the path of the semi.

All three occupants of the car were taken to UPHS-Marquette. One person was flown from the scene by Guardian Flight. They’re all in critical condition at this time.

The semi driver was not injured.

No other details are being released and the accident remains under investigation.
