Breitung Township crash injures two

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in Dickinson County Saturday.

Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post say it happened on Pine Mountain Road just north of H. Lucas Drive in Breitung Township. The vehicle was southbound when it left the roadway, hit the shoulder and went airborne. It landed in Antoine Creek.

Both the driver and passenger received life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
