Utah man injured in single vehicle accident in Marquette Township

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP - One man is injured following a one-vehicle crash in Marquette Township. According to Sheriffs Deputies, a 64-year old Utah man was travelling south on County Road 550 near Partridge Trail Friday when his 2021 Toyota Tacoma went off the roadway and landed on its roof. The driver told Deputies he was swerving to avoid a deer in the roadway. He was treated by Township EMS and Fire Department responders and then taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Marquette Township Fire Department.
