HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI-- A man has been killed in an ORV crash in Houghton County.
Sheriff’s deputies say it happened Saturday around 9:40 a.m. on M-26 near Twin Lakes. An 86-year-old Twin Lakes man was driving his side-by-side to an ORV trail across the highway but didn’t yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was struck by an SUV driven by a 23-year-old man head-on near the shoulder of the southbound lane.
The 86-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV wasn’t injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
