MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI-- A car crash in Marquette Township severed a utility pole Thursday.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 11:45 p.m. on County Road 492 near Lake Enchantment Drive. A woman drove her Pontiac Vibe off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a power line pole and broke it in two.
An off-duty deputy was the first on the scene and administered first aid to the driver.
The woman was taken to UPHS-Marquette with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
