Houghton County motorcycle crash hospitalizes one

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to M-203 near North Cloverland Road. A vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Minnesota man was turning left onto the Swedetown Trail when a motorcycle driven by a 57-year-old Minnesota man hit the driver-side door.

The motorcyclist was ejected. He landed about 13 yards into the tree line. He was taken to Keweenaw Aspirus Hospital, then airlifted to a Minneapolis hospital for further treatment.
