Injuries reported in Spread Eagle, WI plane crash

FLORENCE COUNTY, WI— Two people were taken to the hospital after their plane crashed in Florence County, Wisconsin.

Saturday around 8:40 a.m. Florence County Dispatch received a report of an accident from Dickinson County Dispatch. An aircraft with two occupants had gone down in the area of Menominee River Road in Spread Eagle.

Both agencies were able to provide GPS coordinates for responding personnel to find the site.

The two people were taken to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment.

An investigation will be completed by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
