Plow hits pickup truck in Negaunee Township

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI— A Negaunee man sustained minor injuries when his vehicle was hit by a snow plow Wednesday morning.

The Marquette County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 7:30 a.m. to US-41 near M-35 in Negaunee Township.

Deputies say a county plow driven by a 58-year-old Palmer man was eastbound when it hit a Chevy Colorado driven by a 53-year-old Negaunee man. The driver of the Chevy sought his own treatment for minor injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Negaunee Township Fire Department, UP Health System EMS, and Mr. Wrecker.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
