STEPHENSON, WI— Police are investigating a fatal accident in Marinette County.
It happened Saturday afternoon on Parkway Road near Eagle Road in the Town of Stephenson. An SUV was southbound when it went off the road, into the ditch and rolled over.
Sally Williams Griese, 62, of Greenleaf, Wisconsin was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Kim Thomson, 48, of DePere, Wisconsin was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Marinette County Sheriff's Office says speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
