Ishpeming man injured in Tilden Township accident

TILDEN TOWNSHIP, MI— An Ishpeming man was taken to the hospital after his pickup crashed into a telephone pole in Tilden Township Friday.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 7:50 p.m. on County Road 476 near County Road PAJ. Paul Trudell, 55, was northbound when he lost control of his truck and hit a utility pole. He was taken to UPHS-Marquette with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
