LUCE COUNTY, MI— An Indiana man was killed in a single-snowmobile accident in Luce County last week.
Wednesday around 9 p.m., Michigan State Police from the Sault Ste. Marie Post were dispatched to Devil’s Hollow Lake trail and County Road 371. A snowmobile driven by Robert Huffmaster, 49, of Valparaiso went off the trail and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Officers from the Michigan DNR and Luce County EMS assisted at the scene.
